1. Introduction
Numo is operated by Nuova Optics LLC JBR, Dubai, UAE ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our accounts receivable automation platform. By using Numo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. In operating Simple AR, Nuova Optics LLC acts as a Meta Tech Provider, enabling WhatsApp Business messaging on behalf of our business customers.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account information: Name, email address, and organisation details provided through Clerk authentication when you sign up.
Accounting data: Invoice records, customer contact details (including phone numbers), and payment status imported from your connected Xero or QuickBooks account via OAuth.
WhatsApp Business credentials: Your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID, phone number ID, and access tokens required to send messages via the Meta platform.
Usage data: Logs of actions taken within the platform (e.g., sync events, reminder sends) for debugging and service improvement.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to deliver and improve the Numo service: to authenticate users, sync invoices from your accounting software, and send WhatsApp payment reminders on your behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. WhatsApp Messaging
Numo is a Meta Tech Provider. WhatsApp messages are sent via Meta's Business Messaging platform using your own registered WhatsApp Business Account. The following data is transmitted to Meta in order to deliver messages: phone numbers of invoice recipients, the content of approved WhatsApp message templates, and delivery status information returned by the Meta platform. Messages are only sent to end-customers who have an existing business relationship with your business or who have explicitly opted in to receive WhatsApp communications. Numo does not control end-customer data beyond what is necessary for message delivery, and does not use that data for any other purpose.
4a. End-Customer Consent
Our platform requires you (the business using Simple AR) to ensure that your customers have consented to receive WhatsApp messages from you, either through an existing business relationship or explicit opt-in. Numo does not send messages to end-customers on its own behalf.
5. Accounting Integration Data
OAuth access tokens for Xero and QuickBooks are stored encrypted and are scoped per-organisation. Data synced from your accounting software is isolated to your organisation and is never shared with or visible to other tenants on the platform.
6. Data Sharing & Sub-processors
We use the following sub-processors to operate the service:
Clerk — authentication and user management. Neon / PostgreSQL — database hosting. Inngest — background job processing. Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — message delivery; phone numbers and message content are transmitted to Meta to deliver WhatsApp messages. Xero / Intuit (QuickBooks) — accounting data sync.
We do not sell your data to any third parties outside of these operational sub-processors.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or disconnect an integration, associated OAuth tokens and credentials are removed. Residual backup data may persist for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest. Access to your organisation's data is enforced via Clerk's organisation-based access controls. We follow industry-standard security practices, though no system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
